Hikes at Lovund
On this page you can find a lot of interesting hikes at Lovund. The number behinde every hike represent how challanging the hike is from 1 to 3.
Hikes with number (1) is an easy hike for the whole familiy.
Hikes with number (2) is a little heavier
Hike with number (3) is for the experienced one.
Remember to take your trash with you, have your dogs in leash and have respect for the nature.
Norwegian summer weather may be relatively stable, but that doesn’t mean it can’t surprise you. If you go hiking in the mountains or are out at sea, prepare for everything and make sure you bring waterproof and windproof clothing, as well as a layer of wool.
Even if you should be careful not to underestimate the weather, the summer is the time of year when you can relax the most with regards to what to wear. As we say in Norway: there is no bad weather, only inappropriate clothing.
Lundurda (1)
This trip is suitable for the whole family and takes around 30 minuets one way. This is the place for watching the arctic puffins and enjoy the view to. Follow the brown line in the map below.
Lovundfjellet (3)
Enjoy the view from the top of Lovundfjellet! This hikes takes around 2-3 hours one way. Have good shoes, a lot of water and some food with you. Follow the red line in the map below.
Hestvika (1)
This is an fine hike for the family and takes around 30 minuets one way. Don’t interupt the wild sheeps. Here you can find a nice beach and a cabbin with opportunity to grill. Follow the orange line on the map.
Nøvva (2)
This trip is suitable for the whole family and takes around 30 minuets one way. Follow the dark blue line in the map below.
Lovund around (3)
Walk when the tides is low. Start to follow the red line on the map and then switsch over to the green line. This hike is for you who have some experience and the hike take several houers. Have good shoes, food and wather with you.
Risneset (1)

Heirsan (1)
This hike is for everyone, around 30 minutes. Here you can spot the Arctic Puffin, enjoy the sunset and the view to Træna. Can you find all of small statues? Follow the light blue line in the map below.
Nautholmen(1)
The best way to appreciate Black-legged Kittiwakes is to visit a nesting colony in the summer. In this case at Nautsholmen. Follow the thin brown line in the map below.
