Laget har et ansvar for idrett og aktiviteter for barn, unge og voksne. LUIL arrangerer fotballtreninger og turneringer, barnegym, allidrett, volleyball, sirkeltrening for voksne og aktiviteter gjennom sjøsportgruppen, slik som jolleseiling og kajakk. Bassenget er 12,5 m langt, og det finnes også et lite plaskebasseng for de minste barna. Bassenget holdes åpent fra ca oktober til mars, og brukes på dagtid av skolen og barnehagen. Det holdes også åpent for almenheten enkelte kvelder i uken. Det henges opp oppslag i butikken om åpningstider. Det er gratis å bruke svømmehallen, men som en gjenytelse må bygdas folk stille som badevakter.
